Akina Kizuka

Junior Team

Akina, 16, is a sophomore at Wilson High School in Sinking Spring, PA. Here she is working towards the goal of becoming a physical therapist. Akina started snowboarding ever since she could walk and fell in love with the sport ever since. She started competing in age group events at the age of 6. Last year was her first year competing in the NorAm circuit and she attended her first Junior World Championship in Valmalenco, Italy. With hopes to attend more, she will be training with Ski Roundtop Racing Club during the winter. She has also had 5 podiums at the USASA National Championships, with 2 of them being last season. Akina is a young athlete with strong desires to compete in the World Cup circuit and eventually the Olympics. Outside of snowboarding, she enjoys to run, surf, and go to the gym. She is also involved in a handful of clubs at her school.
