Maggie Rose Carrigan
Maggie Rose starting snowboarding at the age of 4 years old. She competed in all disciplines until she was diagnosed with scoliosis at age 11. They told her that she would have to stop competing and to stay away from the dangers of snowboarding. However, after a year from her surgery, Maggie was very interested in alpine snowboarding and started to get back into snowboarding and competing. As soon as she turned 15 years old she started making her way into North American Cups and winning her first when she was 16 years old. She then got enough points to participate in her first World Cups! She has had success through the NorAms ever since and has competed over in Europe more and more. She was finally able to grab the 2016/2017 North American Title and is excited to join the World Cup. Maggie hopes to be a role model to young girls and boys who have scoliosis and to one day go to the Winter Olympics! She wants to thank all of her sponsors, family and especially USSRT for great opportunities!
